The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering comprehensive speech and language services, including assessments to clients with a wide range of disabilities.
Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist include: Identify and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing, and fluency disorders
Provide and direct speech therapy services to patients including: assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation
Develop treatment plans by identifying a problem list, including long and short-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals
Function under physicians’ orders and adheres to applicable principles and practices of speech therapy, ASHA policies/procedures, and state regulations
Review the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered and of individual speech language pathology programs for effectiveness and efficiency, using predetermined criteria
Work collaboratively with other Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapist as needed to provide positive treatment and evaluation outcomes
Provide culturally competent services with consideration of patients cultural and linguistic differences, socioeconomic factors, and/or lack of adequate prior instruction

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients by formulating individualized treatment plans and using a variety of therapeutic techniques to help patients regain function and/or adjust to disabilities. The incumbent should maintain appropriate and timely documentation for each medical record, update patients on progress, and participate in team meetings.

Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress and recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
Maintains records of patient progress and reports to appropriate internal team member(s).
Prepares equipment and exam room(s) ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.
Serves as an advocate for patients and collaborates with external organizations to provide appropriate support and necessary accommodations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations and certification requirements.
Participates in continuing education opportunities including attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing professional networks.
Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in state of Georgia
CPR Certification
Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university
Two (2) years of pediatric therapy experience or experience related to the duties described above.
The Education to Application Program, also known as E2A, is a mentorship opportunity designed for CTC Therapy Clinical Fellows, as well as OT Level-II Fieldworkers, and ST/OT supervisors. This Program was established to provide continued education and career-specific training to support the transition from school to the actual therapy room.
E2A operates to bridge the gap between transitioning therapists and professional colleagues by providing equity and access to professional networks, experienced technical knowledge, and industry standards of operation. E2A is housed as a three-fold reporting department with CTC Therapy, field specific Credentialing Associations, and partnering graduate programs.
Connect To Therapy offers a unique experience for clinical fellows. During your Clinical Fellowship year in speech-language pathology you will receive support and supervision to meet eligibility requirements for the Certificate in Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). You will also complete requirements to obtain a full license in speech-language pathology granted by the Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
